Deep synthesis service providers that have an influence on public opinion or social mobilization capabilities must register and implement procedures to modify and cancel registration. This also applies to technical supporters of deep synthesis services.
Deep synthesis technology refers to the use of deep learning, virtual reality and other synthesis algorithms to create text, images, audio, video, virtual scenes and other forms of network information. It is widely used in China, for example, in intelligent customer service and image processing.
The current list of domestically registered deep synthesis services includes forty-one algorithms, for example, Meituan’s online intelligent customer service and Kuaishou’s short video generation synthesis algorithm. It includes details such as the name of the algorithm, the role, the name of the institution, the application product, the main purpose and the application number.
The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has made the registration information of the algorithms of domestically registered deep synthesis services publicly available. They can be found at the Internet Information Service Algorithm Filing System (https://beian.cac.gov.cn). The purpose of this information disclosure is to ensure the security of data and personal information.
